    Learn the foundations of scene building in this four-week class. Explore the basics of crafting compelling improv scenes through fun exercises. Continue your improv journey and build on skills learned in Intro to Improv in this fun-filled class!

  • Scenework for Performance

    Our Scenework for Performance class picks right up where Intro to Scenework ended! Take a deeper dive into the art of building an improv scene—all to get you ready to perform! Learn how to edit and “wipe” scenes, connect to themes, and find the “game” or the scene. This class is perfect for those looking to sharpen their scene work skills. Performance focused, you won’t be sitting around listening to lectures - you’ll jump up and play with your cohort!

    Learn the ins and outs of how to play the performance games that make a CGI show tick! Our Improv Games class includes some of our most popular games like Change, Emotional Rollercoaster, and Action Slips! And when you’re done, we’ll stage a full Graduation Show for you and your class to show off your new found hilarious skills!

  • Improv Games II

    There are way more improv games than we can fit in just one six-week class. So here’s another! Expand on your improv games knowledge with Improv Games II. This class will go over games that are a little more complicated and nuanced than in Improv Games. After taking this class, students should have no issues playing any game we perform on stage.

  • Kris Genschmer

    Kris has been teaching improv since 2013. He teaches all five of CGI’s improv class offerings.

  • Ty Malugani

    Ty has been teaching improv since 2013. He teaches the Intro to Improv and Intro to Scenework classes.

  • Scott Pierce

    Pierce has been teaching improv since 2014. He teaches the Intro to Improv and Intro to Scenework classes. Pierce also runs CGI’s corporate training workshops.
